How Does Google Work?
Boiled down, Google sends out tiny .txt files called “spiders’ via the world wide web to parse your site content. The spiders send the data they’ve found back to Google’s database.
What’s The Difference Between Google Search Console And Google Analytics?
Google Analytics will give you data about what site visitors do while they are on your website. For example, what pages they are going to. How long they are on those pages. Total number of pages views for any time period. What pages they enter your site on, and what pages they exit from.
Google Search Console is used to improve and optimize your website to come up in Google search queries AKA the SERPs – Search Engine Results Pages. It provides information on what keywords/keyphrases people are using to make Google server your site content in the SERPs. You can also see who is linking to your site, if there are technical errors on your site, submit a sitemap (the skeleton to the flesh of your website content) to be indexed, and test your robots.txt file.
GSC and Google Analytics work together to help you make your site the best it can possibly be.
